Angus bulls for sale will feature sons of leading industry sires; Chiltern Park Moe, Chiltern Park Quantum, Black Onyx, GAR Reliant, Musgrave Crackerjack, and sons from leading Greswick Angus home-grown AI bulls.
The Greswick Angus herd is recognised as a fertile, well-tempered breeding operation. Managed on coastal country, structural integrity, proper herd health and stringent culling criteria ensure only functionally sound animals are sold. Buyers can be confident in purchasing a quality breeding package.
Bulls are a big investment, so it's important to get a positive return on investment. John Bertram, consultant in beef breeding genetics describes two things a cattle producer gets out of a bull; his semen which influences genetics in his progeny, and his excrement, better known as bullshit. When a bull has been overfed prior to sale to make him look big and shiny on sale day, most of that shine has to be excreted as bullshit before he's fit to work. Fat can also cover up potential problems. Not to mention, the damage extra feeding has already done to his feet and joints, leading to premature breakdown and shortened breeding longevity. Extra fat in the scrotum will also affect testicular temperature and potential fertility.
